Everest Base Camp

Nepal
14 Days / 13 Nights

Trip Overview

Arriving at Everest Base Camp, standing at an altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet), is a moment of triumph. Surrounded by the world’s highest peaks, including Lhotse and Nuptse, you’ll feel the pulse of the mountainous realm beneath your feet. Capture memories and breathe in the rarified air of this extraordinary sanctuary. This thoughtfully planned 13-night, 14-day tour takes you through the renowned Khumbu region, where every step echoes with mountaineering history.

Good to know:
1. Permits:
Trekkers to the Everest region must obtain permits, including the Sagarmatha National Park Permit and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entry Permit.

2. Porters and guides:
While trekking alone is possible, many trekkers prefer to hire a guide and/or porter for assistance, navigation, and to enhance the overall experience.

3. Accommodation at the Tea House:
Tea houses and lodges provide lodging along the trail. These offer basic amenities, and reservations are strongly advised, especially during peak trekking seasons.

4. Cuisine:
Tea houses serve a wide range of meals, including Nepali, Tibetan, and international fare. Dal Bhat (lentil soup with rice) is a popular and healthy option.

5. Acclimatization to High Altitude:
Acclimatization days are included in the trek to help the body adjust to higher altitudes. It’s critical to stay hydrated, take it slowly, and watch for signs of altitude sickness.

6. Everest Viewpoints:
The iconic viewpoints of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Kala Patthar offer breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other surrounding peaks.
